Tiffany writes, “For most of my adult life I’ve been up and down the scale.  I’ve been on and off diets.  I’ve been in a size 12 and a size 18.  The yo-yoing was enough to make me crazy.  The problem was it was all just temporary.  I’d make a short term decision to lose weight. When I lost the weight the goal was accomplished and I was done. Then I would gain it all back.  Be depressed.  Start all over.  What I needed was a lifestyle change. I found YSF in November of 2014. There were two main catalyst:

  1. Immediately after I gave birth to my son I was around 235.  That was in Jan 2014.  I had gained over 50 pounds from an already unhealthy 185.  My gynecologist gave me a talking to.  He was nice about it, but quite serious.  He told me that I needed to lose weight.  Even if it took two years the weight had to come off because it just wasn’t healthy.  I cried after that appointment, but knew he was telling the truth.  I tried to lose the weight although not wholeheartedly.  By the time my son turned 1 I was 200 pounds.
  2. My son’s 1st birthday.  I hated the way I looked in all the photos.  The odd thing was that in the mirror I thought I looked fine, but the minute I saw a printout of a photo I was disgusted.  I couldn’t believe I let myself get that large.  I joined weight watchers and tried (again).  I got down to 190, but then nothing.
IMG_0225Finally I entered the doors of YSF and met Cris. The first time I met her I knew she was going to change my life.  I had made the decision mentally to get rid of the weight I just didn’t know how to do it.  I teared up during our first meeting and then full out cried when I got back to my car.  I had finally found someone who knew what I was going through AND knew how to help me.  I was excited.  She told me to clean out my fridge and grocery shop.  I did exactly that and haven’t looked back. For the first 8-9 months I strictly did the training and weight watchers. Eventually weight watchers stopped working for me. They changed their points system and it just wasn’t working for me anymore. Some weeks I found myself actually gaining weight. Instead of getting depressed and falling off track I consulted with Cris and reevaluated my options. We agreed that myfitnesspal could work. It’s tedious to track everything, but it works. It’s now a part of my daily process and no longer a nuisance. I know when I don’t track my food I don’t lose weight. For me it is important to track my food and workout. That combination has enabled me to lose the weight. I’m now proud to say I’m down to 156 and still going. It’s the thinnest and strongest I’ve ever been in my adult life. I couldn’t have done it without all the support, positive attitudes, dedication and expertise from Cris. Maybe it’s cliché to say, but I love Cris. The impact she’s had on my life and mentality are permanent fixtures on my heart.” This could be you.
